What Do We Need to Know about Survivors with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) to Best Serve Them?

  • The incidence and prevalence of perpetration of crimes against people with I/DD is staggering: nearly 83% of women with developmental disabilities will be sexually assaulted, more than half of them 10 or more times. This training offers tips for identifying and communicating with survivors with I/DD as well as information about the government-funded system designed to support them throughout their lives.
