Victim Advocacy on College Campuses: Why it’s Different

  • College campuses encounter a unique legal and policy environment that impacts how victim advocates can function, and how victim advocates can interact with other professionals on campus. We will discuss the campus-specific laws and policies, mandatory reporting on campuses, and the importance of confidential advocacy. This presentation will provide context for campus professionals, and will train non-campus advocates who may coordinate with campuses.
