Ageism is a type of stereoptypes that involves prejudice against people of different ages whether open or hidden. Similar to racism and sexism, ageism involves holding negative stereotypes about people of different ages. The tern is often applied to any type of age-based discrimination, whether it involves prejudice against children, youth, and young or old adults. This workshop explores Ageism as the path to elder abuse and how our own Agesit beliefs connect with abuse in later life.
