Closing the Gap: Collaborative Service Provision to Deaf Survivors in Rural Colorado

  • We’ll highlight successful collaborations with rural agencies in providing desperately needed services to an unique group of survivors. As advocates, we’re all aware of the service gaps that exist in the farthest reaches of Colorado. However, we often forget that those gaps widen and deepen when it comes to people with sometimes limited access to communication: Deaf and hard of hearing survivors. How do we ensure provision of positive, comprehensive services for this marginalized community?
