Sheri Kembel, MSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P Ms. Kembel currently is the Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Examiner program contracted through the Sexual Assault Response Advocates (S.A.R.A.), Inc. in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She is a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for pediatric, adolescent and adult patients. She has persisted through many obstacles and the “you can’t do that’s” since the inception and through the continued development of this rural medical forensic examination program. She is a member of the Morgan County SART Team which incorporates medical forensic exam and forensic interviewing programs with case review-based SART meetings. She has been a nurse for 28 years working in various positions including Intensive Care, Cardiac Rehab, Medical Surgical, Behavioral Health, and Community Health. She spent 13 years as Nursing Faculty at Morgan Community College teaching Psychiatric Nursing and Leadership/Management nursing courses and later as adjunct faculty member teaching courses in the Addiction and Counseling Program. She has served on the Fort Morgan Hospital Foundation Board, Morgan County Relay for Life Luminary Co-Chair, and is a member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and International Society of Psychiatric Nurses.
