Katie Ashby: Katie joined the SAVA Center following her graduation from Bowdoin College with a BA in Anthropology and Chemistry. During her time at Bowdoin, Katie developed her interest in violence prevention as a student leader of Safe Space, a campus advocacy group providing support and resources for sexual assault survivors. She pursued her passion surrounding community-based and women’s health through a senior honors thesis investigating institutional regulation of women’s access to reproductive health services in Ecuador. Katie loves working with middle-schoolers and exploring the world with them. When she’s not back in school, Katie loves hiking and biking in the mountains, and has been known to totally lose track of time while reading a good book.
