Kelly Dixon, J.D. is the Legal Director of the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center. She joined the organization in October 2012. Kelly obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The Colorado College in 1996 and her Juris Doctorate from The University of Colorado School of Law in 2003. Kelly began her legal career with the National Judicial Education Program as a Research and Project Attorney working on issues related to sexual assault. In 2005, she became a Prosecutor in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District and served in their Arapahoe and Douglas offices for two and a half years. Kelly then spent four and a half years working for the American Samoa Attorney General’s Office from 2008 to 2012 where she served as a Felony Prosecutor, Intake Attorney, and ultimately as the Chief Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Samoa Bar Association and the National Alliance of Victims’ Rights Attorneys.
