Raped and pregnant, what victim advocates need to know about the law

  • In the past two years, Colorado law has changed to give sexual assault victims who become pregnant new legal options to protect them and their children. These victims face unique challenges navigating both criminal and civil laws.   This presentation will discuss key legislative changes as well as examine various ways to help ensure the victim is able to understand their rights, participate in the legal system and protect themselves and their child.
