Left OUT: LGBTQ Inclusivity in Evidence Based Programs

  • Many evidence-based programs are proven to generate positive outcomes and encourage people to make informed decisions about their health and well-being. However, these programs are developed through a hetero-normative and cis-gender framework that often leave out the experiences of lesbian, gay bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning (LGBTQ) communities. This workshop examines the specific concerns of LGBTQ communities and provides skills for adapting existing evidence based programs and advocating for your organization/agency to be more inclusive.
