Bullying has become a household word as we are bombarded with messages through our schools and the media. It has become a “national crisis” but still little is known about relational aggression — or girl-to-girl bullying. The culture of Girl World will be examined in detail and light shone on how this culture is fortified with gossip, secrets and emotional violence. In addition, the workshop will talk about how adults can recognize the subtle nuances of the hierarchy of Girls’ World and the rules that run it. Finally, we will also examine how to intervene and proven prevention strategies.
