Decreasing Barriers to Services for Transgender Survivors: Creating a Trans Welcoming Space
-
- Presentation speakers
Boulder, CO was chosen by FORGE to participate in a study researching gaps between transgender survivors and sexual assault services in Boulder County. This workshop will present the FORGE findings, provide education on violence against transgender individuals, outline best practices to having an inclusive space, and provide advocacy tools for service providers, law enforcement, and medical providers. Additionally we will use SPAN’s organizational journey to becoming safer for Trans people as a case example.
